Our organisation
BioNanoNet Forschungsgesellschaft mbH (BNN) is an Austrian non-profit research organization specialized in international R&D&I collaboration that supports and guides its members and customers towards a sustainable development of connected technologies.
The BNN team has expertise and many years of experience in the fields of nanosafety, Safe-by-Design and Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design and is significantly involved in the further development of the EC JRC SSbD Framework through involvement in numerous (inter)nationally relevant projects and key activities. BNN has an extensive international network in the field of SSbD and advanced materials and is a key partner for multidisciplinary interaction and stakeholder involvement. The core competences of the BNN team also include innovation management and corporate development as well as the interdisciplinary combination and evaluation of various parameters.
With the BioNanoNet Association, BNN has a network of roughly 70 members across Europe. BNN co-coordinates international and national safety, sustainability and innovation activities (e.g., EU NanoSafety Cluster, ETP SusChem, SusChem-AT, etc.).
Our role in the project
Within SSbD4CheM, BNN is the Communication & dissemination leader, including the tasks of interaction with other communities, stakeholder engagement, as well as training and knowledge transfer, within and beyond the project.
