SSbD4CheM is organising a training session on the EU Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) Framework at the SETAC Europe 35th Annual Meeting in Vienna. Taking place on Sunday, 11 May 2025, this half-day course will provide professionals with practical knowledge to align their work with the sustainability objectives of the European Green Deal.

TC01: Safety and Sustainability Assessment in the Context of EU SSbD Framework

This course bridges theory and practice. It is jointly organised between three EU-funded projects: AlchemiSSts, BIO-SUSHY, and SSbD4CheM. During the course, attendees will explore:
- Implementation of the SSbD Framework: through case studies across automotive, food packaging, and coatings sectors.
- Tools & Methods: Hands-on guidance on in silico approaches, New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), and software for risk and sustainability assessments.
- PFAS Alternatives: Strategies to replace restricted substances while safeguarding human and environmental health.
