The 5th edition of the Sustainability Talks Istanbul (STI) took place on 3 December 2024, focusing on raising awareness and taking solution-oriented steps towards sustainability in the fashion and textile industry.
The event aimed to provide sustainable solutions to all challenges faced by the textile value chain, from responsible raw material sourcing, traceability, energy and water efficiency to minimising resource use, with best practices and innovations in the industry. STI also offered a unique networking opportunity for industry professionals, enabling them to connect and exchange knowledge on new regulations and solutions that impact the entire textile ecosystem.
Among the attendees were representatives from KORTEKS, (Onur Çelen and Mine Kankıran), who participated to stay informed about the latest advancements and policies in sustainability. Their learnings will play a pivotal role in enriching the textile case study of the SSbD4CheM project.
